How many LEGAL home delivery services for alcohol are there in Dubai?

LegalHomeDelivery.com is the ONLY legal alcohol home delivery service authorised to deliver in Dubai. Our customers have the guarantee that they are receiving authentic products that have been transported in legal climate-controlled conditions and are sold at competitive Retail store prices.

Who is eligible to use LegalHomeDelivery.com?

To use LegalHomeDelivery.com you must be non-Muslim and over 21 years of age and either a:

  • Dubai Resident with a valid liquor licence.
  • Tourist with original passport.

Where do I apply if I don’t have a valid Dubai Liquor Licence for delivery?

Any non-muslim, over the age of 21 can simply apply under the recently simplified process needing only your Emirates ID, at the approachable cost of just AED 270 (a low cost to stay legal)

How do I pay for my order?

In order to process your order on LegalHomeDelivery.com you will be required to pay online through our secure payment gateway, in advance of receiving your legal delivery.

Does LegalHomeDelivery.com deliver to all areas in Dubai?

We deliver to all registered addresses in Dubai.

What are LegalHomeDelivery.com delivery hours?

We deliver 10am-10pm, 7 days per week.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Your order will be delivered within 2 working days. We will email or SMS you a delivery slot and send you an SMS around 30 minutes in advance of the delivery.

Can I get same day delivery?

Currently, we do not offer same day delivery. This is a service that maybe available in the near future.

Is there a delivery charge for LegalHomeDelivery.com?

Yes, there is an AED 50 delivery fee. This covers the full cost to deliver to your home in a quality fashion.

To be eligible for our service you also must order a minimum value of AED 250 (including 30% municipality tax and 5% VAT).

Do I need to order a minimum value?

Yes, the minimum order value is AED 250 (including 30% municipality tax and 5% VAT).

Please note that there is also an AED 50 delivery fee, to cover full costs.

Do I need to pay Municipality Tax?

Yes, the purchase of alcohol in Dubai is subject to 30% municipality tax. Please note that the municipality tax is only applicable on alcoholic products, and the delivery charge is not subject to Municipality Tax.

Do I need to pay Value Added Tax (VAT)?

Yes, all orders are subject to 5% VAT, in compliance with UAE regulations. Please note for alcoholic products VAT is calculated on the total product cost including municipality tax.

How do I register and create an account?

Simply click the “Login/Register” on the top menu bar and this will take you to the account registration page. Alternatively, when placing your first order at the time of “check out” you will be asked to “Register” and create an account.

Can I pay cash or credit card on delivery?

No, we do not currently offer these payment facilities, as our delivery team do not handle cash or credit card machines.

By registering and creating an “Account” on LegalHomeDelivery.com it will enable you to login quickly when placing orders, and your name, address and orders will be saved for future reference.

How will I know if my order has been processed?

Once we receive your order, you will receive an email confirmation from LegalHomedelivery.com , the order will also be saved in your Account/Order history. Can I earn Skywards Everyday miles at LegalHomeDelivery.com?

No, LegalHomeDelivery.com is currently not a registered partner with Skywards Everyday.

What happens if I process my order and it’s not delivered within 2 working days?

If we are unable to deliver your goods within 2 working days LegalHomeDelivery.com will refund you the AED 50 delivery charge only. Please note that this is only applicable if we are unable to deliver due to an issue on our side. 

 

Please note you will not be eligible for the AED 50 delivery charge refund if the driver fails to deliver your order, because you are not available at the time of delivery at the address on your order.

In the instance where you are eligible for the AED 50 delivery charge refund, this will be made to your credit/debit card and will take approximately 7 working days depending on your bank.

How long will a refund take?

Are the products authentic?

All products are 100% authentic, through the approved Dubai distributor of your favourite international brands. They are transported and stored in climate-controlled conditions to your door step and we provide you with a quality guarantee. Where can I see my order history?

If you click “My Account” on the top menu bar it will take you to your account dashboard. On the right side of the page is a menu bar. Simply click “Order” and it will display your order history.

Can I amend an order once it has been processed online?

We currently have a select range of the most popular wines, spirits and beers from both African + Eastern and MMI available on LegalHomeDelivery.com, which features over 500 popular wine, spirits and beer brands including:

Who can receive my delivery?

You will receive an SMS message to notify you when the driver is approximately 30 minutes away from delivering your goods. The person who placed the order at LegalHomeDelivery.com must be available to accept the delivery and present either a:

  • Valid liquor licence, if you are a Dubai Resident.

Please note that your liquor licence number must match the one that is on your receipt.

  • Original passport, if you are a Tourist.

 

If the above documents do not match the delivery team reserves the right to withhold the delivery. Please note that the delivery charge is non-refundable.

How will LegalHomeDelivery.com deliver my order?

Your order will be delivered to you in a refrigerated truck or van.  Our team will call/SMS you to confirm the delivery time.

 

At the time of delivery, you will be required to present your:

 

  • Valid liquor licence, if you are a Dubai Resident.

Please note that your liquor licence number must match the one that is on your receipt

  • Original passport, if you are a Tourist.

If I get a discount when I shop in-store at African + Eastern or MMI – can I use this at LegalHomeDelivery.com?

Currently there are no other discounts or loyalty schemes applicable when ordering from LegalHomeDelivery.com

Do you deliver to apartments, serviced apartments and hotels?

Yes, we will call you when we arrive. If the building allows our driver to sign-in, then we will deliver to your door. If the building security does not give the driver access to the building, you will be required to meet our driver in the lobby of the building to accept your delivery.  Please note if you fail to meet the driver we will refund your purchase, but you will still be required to pay the AED 50 delivery fee.

Please note the refund for the goods will be made to your credit/debit card which will take approximately 7 working days depending on your bank.

Who will deliver my products?

Your products will be delivered by MMI’s logistics team directly to your door.

This is with the utmost focus on hygiene levels, sanitation and your care during this Covid19 period.

What health and safety measures will the delivery team follow?

  • All our drivers will wear face masks and are trained to high levels of sanitization before handling any products/deliveries.
  • Drivers are trained to practice social distancing and therefore will stand at least 2m from the door when delivering your legal goods.

What happens if I am not satisfied with my purchase?

LegalHomeDelivery.com offers a 100% quality guarantee for any purchase. If you have any concerns please contact our team and we will arrange a replacement product for you. What if items are missing from my delivery?

Are my details secure when ordering online?

Your payment is processed by Emirates Payment Gateway the leading payment gateway provider in the UAE. Please be advised that African + Eastern and MMI do not have any access to your credit card details.
